Why we built this
Generic AI tools and chatbots are increasingly being used in Ghanaian classrooms — but they generate content grounded in nothing. Lesson plans that ignore the GES curriculum. Answers that contradict what students are being taught. Confident misinformation dressed up as help. And on top of that, they expect users to already know how to prompt them — a skill most students and teachers have never been taught, and shouldn't need to learn just to get help studying.
Scorlar was built to fix this. We pre-ingested the entire Ghana Education Service curriculum into a knowledge-graph-backed AI system. Every answer, lesson plan, and assessment Scorlar produces is grounded in the actual curriculum — not a generic global dataset trained to sound correct.
